For those that didn’t enjoy a host of conversations with Ed Child’s yesterday. Basically started with inquiries about living in Thailand and the confusing visa opportunities and paperwork. The results were fun and interesting. The refreshing thing….almost zero trolls.

I would also like to thank Ed Child’s for such a heartfelt response. All the best to you sir.

given the poverty among Thais…It also gives young women opportunities to have a better life, grow and make a better future. Older men in many ways have a lot to offer, knowledgeable, experienced, need and want companionship.

After many years residing in one spot, who knew? Looks like you have it figured out?

As for me I’m older than you. I have a large extended family in Isaan. Love it and my fiancé.

All the luck, one never knows what’s ahead. I never had any idea my heart would be in Thailand. The old saying goes, “nothing ventured nothing gained”. I’ll add one, good or bad, a life well lived.

Ed Childs I’m curious, why are you leaving Brazil? Have you traveled to Thailand? Is it imperative that you leave at a certain time? If you are able to prepare your satisfactory entry time and stay,

ahead of time, it would be a lot less stressful. Making a permanent or semi permanent move involves a lot of preparation to tie up affairs and decide what’s the important basics to bring along. Thai paperwork isn’t the fastest process and unpredictable. If you do use an agent, research a good one.

Ed Childs pretty expensive, you can do the paperwork, your a teacher. Follow the Thailand embassy’s/ consulate official rules. This site is a lot of help, but don’t count on it fully. Good experienced teachers are always needed. Age perhaps, but worth a try. Do you speak Thai? Would be a big plus.

Brandon Thurkettle say, the two month aged money, is the rule through out the kingdom.

Tough spot bud. When it comes to money Thais are pretty aggressive, if it’s theirs or not theirs. Consider the save face ingrained culture.

Why can’t you pay? Do you have anything coming in soon? Any way you can pay them with time? Question why didn’t you tell them your dilemma ahead of time? You may have been able to work something out instead of leaving? Are you on the street now?

Contact the foreign tourist department , available to help and advise you.

tourist is 60 day with a 30 day extension, if so chosen! Overstay a day or two is a common mistake. You may or may not have to pay 500tb per day OS. As others say apologize and pay the fee if required. They will stamp your PP with OS on it.

You can also consider changing your flight. Although even if you have a flexible ticket it’s very expensive.

nope, never a good idea! If you don’t have 55.57$ a month ago, I would say you should have never come to Thailand in the first place.
Edna *******
Why would you overstay that long? Your PP clearly has a dated stamp. Were you on an extension?
