he already said that just a general medical appointment without any specific health issue was why the DTV was not approved

"repeating"... So you blindly take as gospel the words of a guy, whoever he may be, that when asked a question, responds with an answer that includes the words "I believe..."? Using those two words indicates he isn't sure about what he's saying. Do you disagree with that?

There's been nothing official from Thai Immigration on this yet, but read the comments in this post by Chris Nadon.

If you arrive in Thailand with some hard drugs in your possession, they will invite you to stay long term... at the place sometimes referred to as the Bangkok Hilton 😜

do you know if the Thai Embassy in India requires the balance of each of the six month's bank statements to show 500k, or is it only 500k on the most recent statement? Each Embassy might have a different requirement about that, but I just read answers to questions about this on a post in another group. When asked, the original poster replied that their Embassy accepted that while they needed to provide the latest six months statements, only the most recent statement needed to show a balance of at least 500k. It might be a good idea to ask your own country's Thai Embassy about this.

I've seen several comments over the past 18 months as this has been of interest to me, some saying the same as Terry, others same as you. I haven't gone looking into too much detail yet, as the time for me is probably going to be delayed.

Each Immigration office has their own requirements, such as a list of required documents. I've seen a comment that it's easy if you keep copies of documents for the next year(s) where a fresh one isn't required. Is that part of what makes it easy for you?

I don't think there's been anything Official from the Thai government yet, but some on Facebook seem to think it will be limited to government approved cooking schools only. Common sense to me, says that if that's the case, it's not going to be short courses of only 2 weeks or so and more expensive than non-government approved courses. It might be that Extensions in the visa will require signing up for further courses, suiting foreigners who want to start up or further their career in cooking, rather than someone just looking to improve their home cooking skills. Just my common sense thoughts.

it does, but is it as cheap as it seems ($10k Baht officially, but Embassies are charging between 13k & 18k)? There's been varying opinions as to whether that will be a one-off fee or per entry or per 6 months. Has there been (other than the ones that have paid for the first Visa) any "Official" confirmation? I haven't seen anything yet. Will the 500k financial proof only be for the initial Visa application, or required for Extensions also?
