With all due respect, I wasn’t about to apply for a retirement visa from outside the country before ever setting foot here. I wanted to first visit, experience Thailand, and make sure it felt right for me.
But now that I’m here, I would like to stay longer and it seems like "they" don't want to make it easy.
I’m being told that applying from outside Thailand would have been cheaper, but since I’m already here, I’m looking at agency options for assistance. Some quotes I’ve received range from ฿40,000–฿50,000 for full service (help with the 3-month Non-O visa, opening the bank account, and the yearly extension etc.).
Does that seem like the going rate these days?
Has anyone here had good experiences with agencies charging less, or is that the typical cost for applying while already inside Thailand?
