I missed those posts. I was actually looking to see if anyone had the same issue yet.

And Chiang Mai immigration didn’t look at supporting documents until this September. My understanding is this is brand new.

Our issue is we don’t have enough income on its own or enough in the bank in its own. So we would need a combo. Also wondering if anyone has used a lease agreement for proof of income

The pension affidavit is from the American Embassy here in Chiang Mai. You go in and vow that you have so much in income and they stamp an affidavit for you. Up until September this year, that was sufficient for proof of income although I know that wasn’t technically the law. It worked fine for my friend in July.

Will do! Thank you for all your helpful advice! 😁

It was for the 3 month O. We’ll come back to Thailand and change it to a retirement 1 year. Because I’m applying for the spouse O visa, we had to leave the country for this first step. If it was just my husband applying for the retirement, he wouldn’t have had to leave the country. He could have just done the whole thing in Thailand.

Funny thing is my friend went to Vientiane for the same visa last year and they wouldn’t give it to her because she didn’t have a medical certificate. But she went to KL right after and got it no problem. She liked KL so much better which is why we chose KL. It couldn’t have been easier for us.

That’s true about the medical. I’ll do some research and see how to get it done in KL. Thank you sooo much Tod! I really appreciate all your help!
