If you are 50+ years old you can go for retirement visa with multiple re entry permit. With this multiple re entry permit, you can go in and out of thailand any number of time

Applying in your country required lots of paper works and tied to Insurance. But applying while you are in Thailand is slightly easier

if you are 50+, you can apply for retirement visa and then buy multiple re entry permit. With this multiple re entry permit you can go in and out of Thailand any number of time during 1 year of you retirement visa.. If you need further info you can ask me via inbox

Better come to Thailand on 60 days visa exemption and then apply for retirement visa as you already 50+ years old.

If you are on tourist visa or visa exemption, it is slightly tough to have. Banks may asked you to get letter from your embassy.
