Hihi Luke I’m from Belgium and my Thai wife and I married in Belgium too. So what to do to get your marriage papiers in order for Thailand? I did it all last year…….. first get your uk marriage certificate translated in Thai and get your uk certificate legalised by uk foreign affaires than take your uk certificate and Thai translation off it and get it legalised in Thai ambassy in uk too. Than when you go Thailand get it all again legalised by Thai foreign affaires in Bangkok and than get your marriage certificate registered. I just went this morning here in my city hall in Thailand to finalise the registration off our marriage. I took some running around and patience but all is well and done now.

I have my home in ban nong hang 8 km from bencharak. I’m retirering next year and moving with my wife to Thailand permently. I’ll be there next month until march like every year. I would like to meet up with you there and talk about all this. Looks like are both in the same situation. Kind regards
