Having lived here for 1.5 years I won’t due the 65k route. Too many transfer hiccups. As others have said I like putting the 800k in a bank and forget about it.
Also I think the income route can only be used if you apply in your home country. If here already you can switch over after the first year. Of course this is Thailand and you can find an agent who will get around this. Almost guaranteed to bring grief to you somewhere down the line.
Tom and I are talking about Bangkok Bank. But also Immigration as whatever the bank gives you Immigration needs to accept it. Otherwise it’s a waste of time.
same here. I had my passbook updated and latest bank statement. Chiang Mai Immigration accepted. But I do realize they tend to be the most lenient of the Immigration offices.
