But... it depends on the immigration office, and if there's enough time remaining on the existing "admitted to" stamp
Benjamin ******
@Isabelle *******
That is possible, but you will need your own 800K THB OR 65K THB a month in income OR the embassy letter

I believe you need the following documents to get an in-country Non-O Visa Based on Being a Trailing Spouse or a One Year Extension of Stay Based on Being a Trailing Spouse. I believe the documents are similar:

1. The applicant’s passport and a copy of:

a. The data “picture” page.

b. The most recent visa (if applicable).

c. All entry stamps or extension of stay (if applicable) since arrival.

d. The departure card (“TM. 6”) that should be stapled in the passport.

2. The Extension of Stay Application Form (“TM. 7”).

3. A copy of the submitted Notification of Residence of Foreigners form ("TM. 30”).

4. The spouse physically next to the applicant, and:

a. Their original passport and a copy of their data “picture” page, and their extension of stay or visa.

b. If an extension of stay has not been acquired, the same paperwork required for the spouse’s extension of stay.

5. The original, and a front and back copy of the marriage certificate. The certificate may need to be translated using an approved translator from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

6. [EDIT]: For employment, the documents from the employer. The employer will be familiar with the documents required.

7. 2x passport sized (4cm by 6cm) photos.

8. 1,900 THB processing fee for the extension of stay, 2,000 THB processing fee for the Non-O Visa

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and may include:

- A hand drawn map to the applicant’s residence.

- Pictures of the husband and wife in various locations in the residence.

- Rental contract if applicable.

- Witnesses who are familiar with the couple and can verify they live together.

For the extension of stay, there is an under consideration period. This may include an at-home visit by the immigration office to confirm the husband and wife are living together or interviews with neighbors. The immigration office will give a list of the documents required to bring to the immigration office when the extension of stay is closed out.

>Is it possible for him to apply in country for a Non-O visa (90 days) based on being a trailing spouse (dependant visa?)

Sadly, you can not get an in-country Non-O Visa Based on Being a Trailing Spouse to a retiree

>So at the end of the 90 days

What 90 days are you referring to?

@Francesca ********
Your friend, or the property owner, should report you

1. you entered on June 10, 2018 on a visa exempt ("ผ"), allowing you to stay until 9 July, 2018. On 5 July 2018, you went to the immigration office and acquired a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism ("sec. 2.4") at Bangkok Immigration.

2. On March 30, 2018, you went to Bangkok Immigration and acquired a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism, allowing you to stay until 3 May, 2018

@QD ***
You entered on a visa exempt; a type of tourist visa, on 9 Nov 2017, which allowed you to stay until 8 December 2017. You then applied and received a 30 day extension of stay based tourism letting you stay until 07 Jan 2018.

@Francesca ********
You qualify for a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism.

>What is TM30?

It's a notification sent by your property owner/ landlord/ hotel telling immigration office where you are staying. It will look like one of the three documents below. Ask the property owner/ landlord/ hotel for a copy of the TM30 (show them the image, if required).

IF you are staying at an AirBnB, very seldom do they submit a TM30 because the vast majority of them operate illegally without a hotel license.

Can you post a picture of you current extension of stay/ entry stamp?
