Rob Moyersy, I agree in principle to your other points about immigration, gender studies crap and wastful spending but you don't regain control of your economy by slapping tariffs on every other country and pissing off your own allies. Have a look at your own country's history during the great depression last century. When the US govt decided to raise tariffs on all its goods in 1930 , it made the great depression a lot worse and longer because international trade dried up and people couldn't afford to buy imported goods. The stock market also crashed and took years to recover . The same thing is now happening worldwide and markets are crashing. Not good for any country including yours. Trump is ignoring history in pursuit of what? He may think slapping tariffs on everyone is going to make the average American wealthy but thats not how economics work.Economists worldwide including in US are saying these tariffs are going to crater the world economy , raise the price of everything and lead to a recession. It's inevitable and Trump and his admin don't seem to be able to comprehend that.
