Correct,
@T**
! That's also what I said to the office clerk on the phone.

I told him not to worry about it, and to forward my application to the actual immigration officer for processing. His concern was appreciated, but I found it strange that he wasn't aware of the COVID-19 extensions order expiring on Jan 29. Or maybe he knew more than us?

He suggested to withdraw my application and for me to come back in Feb... no thanks! 😅

@Wa**
: that's interesting, a request for 90 day report... that's only used for longer extensions. Same for re-entry permit. It looks they used the incorrect stamp for your extension.

Yeah, Phuket office will have a buzzy social day on Jan 29. I'll post an update in this group.

Depends on the office,
@Mic****
. My previous COVID extension expires in February, but after applying at Phuket this week the office called me to inform me that I was going to lose days. "Why did you apply early? Now you will only get 30 days." 😆

People in Bangkok, Samui, Chiang Mai, etc, are receiving the full 60 days, counted from the expiration of their previous extension of stay.

Looks promising. My first extension expires end of Feb, but I went to apply for a second one at Phuket anyway.

After applying, the office called me to ask why I had applied early (...) and they hinted that I was going to lose days. It really depends on the office.

Jan 29 is a magical date because that's when Immigration will stop giving COVID-19 extensions.

Seems like Jan 29 is now synchronized with the "under consideration" return date... what will happen after?

@Si***
: I might have lost a full month here. With the chance that this week, they'll happily announce that COVID-19 extensions will remain available, meaning I could have applied in February instead. 😶

It wouldn't surprise me, but fingers crossed.

My stamp is valid until end of Feb. Went to Phuket Immigration today (Jan 26) because as it currently stands, no more COVID-19 extensions will be given out after Jan 29.

Office was packed, spent 5 hours waiting for my queue number. After applying I was told my passport would be ready for pickup tomorrow.

While driving home I received a call from the clerk at the office, the same person that had accepted my documents. He asked me why I had applied today, rather than in February.

After explaining, he didn't seem to be aware of the Jan 29 deadline. "Maybe better you come back in February, better for you? More days? Where you stay?" Okay... but I already paid and applied. No refunds.

Tomorrow we'll see until what date the actual immigration officer stamped me to. My friends in Samui received 60 days counting from their expiration date... but what can you do. Will update tomorrow.
