I was stopped on arrival at Suvarnabumi with a SETV and told I could not stay 5 months on a tourist visa and extensions and told the same again boarding a plane to Laos and again on arrival in Laos. The IO at Suvarnabumhi told me I should get a Non O visa if I want to stay 5 months every year. My plan 60 + 30 +30 +30 was okay last year but not this year.

I usually stay here 5 months but this year they told me I can no longer do that with Tourist visa and extensions. They duggested a Non O visa based on over 50 is the best.

yeah way too much wrong advice from the recently arrived. But not on the Thai Visa Advice page on FB.

Even though I had already been 'spoken to' by IO staff at Suvarnabumhi and Luang Prabang airport about my travel plans I found the Nong Khai border crossing to be trouble free. So easy. Thanks to

no need to change the original branch address but home address should be correct for a visa

Join the Thai Visa Advice group on FB. The moderators there really know their stuff and take no crap or false information on the page. Follow Tod Daniels, Robert Lagas, James Miller, Ellie Takei and the others there. I learnt everything from them.

I just changed my home address for my Bkk bank account from Bangkok to Petchabun took abut 30 mins
