Well, and if he does not go to Vientiane he pays the higher fees, misses an interesting travel opportunity, and a country that bottom line is much cheaper than Thailand.

No. Every proof of accommodation is fine. But I guess for a DTV, that is actually not needed at all. Check the eVisa web site. Everything needed is mentioned there.

Anonymous participant Likely only if the school/club is recognized by the Ministry of Education. I do not think you can randomly pick one. On the other hand making a festival/temple tour seems to count.

Sorry for your bad luck!

A statement about what you are doing, a kind of portfolio of your work, sample bills. It should be mentioned on the eVisa web site.

That is not true. There is no renouncing of original citizenship.

With a DTV he most likely wont get citizenship anyway. One requirement is to consistently pay taxes.

Strictly speaking a digital nomad is supposed to pay taxes ... but the DTV visa allows for "other activities".

I live for less than 1k in Bangkok. And most of my expenses are: beer. So no idea what you are doing.

In Isaan I live on less than $500

My apartment in BKK is just perfect. Silent. No traffic. Top floor. And cool. I sleep with open windows at night. And now while typing this: I sit ground floor outside at a nice sitting area.

Just because people know how to live on a small budget does not mean they live in a poorer environment than you.

Who the funk wants to live in a place like Pattaya anyway?
