As other people have said:

1. Since you aren't in Thailand for 90 days you don't need to. Technically you can do <97 as there is some leeway

2. It's fairly easy to do the 90 report, but can take some time depending on where you have to do it. It's over all painless but does take a good part of a day + prep

3. Supposedly nothing really happens if you miss doing the 90 day report unless you are dealing with immigration in other matters. Personally I do my 90 day report

4. Unless you are really wanting to travel it's probably not worth it just to avoid the 90 day report
