proof of balance is an official document from the bank that lists your balance on the specific day. It doesn’t list how / when the money arrived like a statement does. Check your internet banking website if you have this feature. NAB Westpac and others have it.

Canberra embassy seemed fine with proof of balance on 1 day.

with a DTV would this “online work” activity be allowed ?

I would like to get bank account too on DTV in Bangkok.

I learnt the following

Issue 1 - some banks require certificate of residence from immigration. This seems easy to get in Pattaya but difficult to get in Bangkok - even with 12 month Bangkok lease and TM30.

Issue 2 - even if you manage to find a bank to allow you to be a customer, they may force you to buy expensive health insurance

I’m told that using an agent in Pattaya solves both these issues, the account they get u, isn’t required to get the expensive insurance - so once you pay the agent costs it ends up around the same cost as if you did it yourself

Happy to hear from people that had different experiences, especially from Bangkok

Canberra Australia- proof of balance on 1 day was enough.

My opinion is the exact requirements may vary even within the same embassy.
