I imagine they don't want to find themselves landed with the responsibility for a pet belonging to someone that has just been refused entry or. Good luck.

Wrong question! From my own experience, I had to get the animal various vaccinations, with a certificate, and get her an electronic chip. Some airlines will allow small pets to travel with you but there aren't many that do this.

Best thing is to check with your airline first, and think about getting a specialised pet transportation service to do everything for you.

Some Immigration offices will tell you not to do it online. I have witnessed twice how the computers went down in out local, so they couldn't have checked if you had done it or not.
