probably the new law means that is the new policy at that particular Immigration office.

point i'm making and admins have said it too..each Immigration office has different policy..so one has to check with their local office..

it's great many of you people don't have to report..my local immigration says every time even if in same province..not complaining..50 km away...we make it part of our shopping day..

The Aranyaprathet / Poipet border crossing coming back into Thailand is the worst/most difficult border crossing..better to avoid if you can unless you have under 2 border crossings..They are real sticky as to you having the correct visa for their criteria ..You are lucky they let you in.

imo in the grand scheme of things..since 1900 baht is inexpensive for 1 year visa extension..1 k baht once for home visit is bearable..
