No not at all, the only thing I did different from my Hanoi application was use Issa Compass agency. I wasn’t expecting anything out of it since it was a full refund if rejected. Everyone was saying go to Jakarta but I say **** it and just took a Philippines vacation and it worked out…

Yes, Once in HCMC and once in Hanoi. Applied both of those on my own no agency. I literally changed nothing on the 3rd attempt besides using Issa Compass Agency, applied through Manila. Approved after 10 days and an in person interview. I was never given a reason for the rejections before. Not (cancelled) straight up rejected after a few working days. I emailed the embassy in Hanoi last time and they just said to kindly apply again to see if I meet the requirements.

From my experience, I applied in HCMC and Hanoi, both rejected (Muay Thai). I then went on vacation to the Philippines a few months later and decided I’ll try again and this time I used Issa Compass (Agency). Super easy, had a 5 minute interview in Philippines after 10 days waiting for the documents to clears and was approved within two hours. Something of note, I literally changed nothing document wise from my previous applications… I will say they required 6 months of bank statements. I would be careful with the the visa exemption runs. I would recommend hiring a safe entry service so you will know for sure that you will be stamped in especially after doing an extension. It would be miserable to be held at the airport and sent back to point of origin or home country.
