perfect. Thank you so much Frank. When I’m out of ASQ and head to the apartment we’re renting I’ll make sure to discuss this with them. Thanks again!!

To piggyback off this thread... I can go to any immigration office for my extension correct? I am in Bangkok and plan on staying in Bangkok if that makes any difference. Thanks!

This is great to hear about the COE. I will be sending my information in on Friday once I receive my partners visa back from LA embassy but wasn't sure if I submitted it over the weekend it would be approved. I hope it is since we fly out the following Monday HOPEFULLY! 😂. .

I think you need to hear from people who have actually gotten the volunteer and education visas. Hopefully they message you here so you can think it thru! Good luck.

No, you already paid it online you’re fine. Some of their info on the embassy websites is literally still up from when you had to send in the paper application.

So they received my passport on Monday and shipped it back Wednesday morning and I just received it back today with the stamp! I followed exactly what Jan said in terms of adding documents in slots that aren't required for the visa itself (tho necessary for the COE)

honestly, I’ve been told from many many people who have been where we are that it’s possible with 3 weeks but 4 is better. So that’s what I’m hoping for. I sent my visa app/passport to the Los Angeles consulate this afternoon so I’ll keep you updated!!

Just got off the phone with the LA embassy and they said that information is now required up front before applying for the visa itself (flight -obvi, insurance, stay after asq (which was never listed as something needed for the TR visa...), asq (which you use to be able to apply and book after you got your stamp but before your coe))...
