@Jessie *****
Robert isn’t saying you just “get 7 days”. You get nothing. You apply for, and pay for, another extension of some kind. If it is rejected, then you have to leave within 7 days.
Kevin ***********
Not that you would do it, but if you violate any terms of your visa/extension you could be considered to be on overstay from that point onwards

@Ahsan *******
Since the extension is totally at the discretion of the immigration officer you should not be planning anything based on someone else’s experience

It’s valid for 6 months from the day it’s ISSUED. If you get it 1 September you can enter as many times as you like for 60-90 days at a time until about 1 March. If you enter the last day you would have almost 9 months total.

It’s 6 months to enter not the final exit date. BUT their second stay is too long so they would have to exit and enter during it.

I second Tod’s recommendation. I used the METV for 3 winters. But note the 6 months starts ticking when the visa is issued. You have to balance time to get it versus not wasting days.

If you have been working here many years what kind of extension are you on? From a non B visa?

@Robert ********
It doesn’t have to be new money. There is no time limit as long as you can prove that 800K of the 10 million came in as an international transfer.

@Tod ********
I meant a regular “cash” account rather than a mutual fund account if Thailand has such a thing

@Tod ********
He mentions a “Thai broker” but it must be a normal bank account to receive the money?
