Well, I popped into the immigration office, probably not the best idea on a Saturday here in MS, as the main section is closed. However I spoke to a helpful lady, who after returning to her office with my passport for ten or so minutes, and checking my TM6, ( although a little of of it may have been lost in translation), informed me that "reporting" with a form TM30 wasn't needed, because I had a re-entry permit and it was all fine. :) I'll double check next time I'm down that way during the week, but it seems things might be a little more relaxed here in sleepy MS.

Thanks so much guys. I had thought that leaving on a flight asap might be the best/only option, but best to get it from the experts :) We've organised just that, and she can stay with friends the other end for a few days, and de-stress. Again thanks so much 🙃

The info I was told was that I can't get a 12 month in Australia, I'm based in Brisbane, but I'll definitely call Canberra and check when I'm home 😊

Thanks Robert, you are right I was confused. I see what you mean now. :) I don't think my organisation will be too excited about me asking to get a new set of papers, and I'll pay for them too, but I can't delay the flight, to them, that should be choice, but that really can't happen. Thanks for you counsel :)

No, all the paperwork has been submitted. Back at end of January. It has taken this long apparently to get a check by the police department, social department etc. I am just physically waiting for the application to be signed, returned to the social department, then back to my organisation. Apparently we then visit immigration, and it will be approved.

Yes I guessed that was the case. But delaying my flight for a week, or even longer really isn't option I'd choose. My Dad is quite unwell
