If you are a content creator then apply for DTV workcation. I got my dtv and i am a gaming content creator on youtube.

I was asked for employment certificate or contract & portfolio.. i explained in a letter that i am independent YouTuber and do not have employment certificate or contract but i did provide the portfolio. I was approved.

Thank you ☺️ I think someone else got approved few days before me, so maybe the third. The officer did mention approvals are quite limited in Islamabad. Hoping more follow soon.

I applied from Pakistan (Islamabad Embassy), which is honestly one of the toughest places for DTV approval. Very few people get approved here, so the scrutiny is extremely high.

In my case they kept asking for an employment contract or certificate and also a portfolio.

I could provide the portfolio but I don’t have an employment contract or certificate because i am a YouTuber, which I explained.

Things like YouTube Analytics, AdSense, the YouTube Partner Program, how Google pays creators, and what EPRC reports are not very common or straightforward for visa officers.

I only got approved after the interview, when I explained in person:

- what my work is

- how YouTube monetization works

- how ads generate revenue

- how money goes from YouTube → AdSense → bank

Once I clarified everything face to face, the application was approved shortly after.

So if they’ve asked you for many documents and now want an interview, that usually means they need clarification, not that they’re rejecting you. The interview is often the final step.

You need to provide more details about your nationality and the embassy where you applied.. i was on pending approval for 40 days until they requested further documents and then an interview.
