the ss sends out a form 7162 every year, expats call that the dead or alive letter. Are you familiar with that? I get one every year here in the Philippines. If I don't send it back they will suspend my ss account which means no payments till they receive that form. I believe that expats that live in a foreign country and have their direct deposit into a foreign bank receives that form.

just to clarify your last sentence. Do you mean the transferred amount can't be 1baht below the required 65k baht per month? Once it is transferred the money can be used, right?
