Why has no one in Guangzhou applied for the special tourist visa to Thailand?

The thai govt idea of a vacation is spend $6000 on plane , forced hotel , food , special visa fees etc etc to stay locked up in a hotel room for 14 days before starting your vaca what a shit show and embarrassing for the thsi people
