Online banking takes care of maintaining you card its just about having a postal address in Belgium should just opt for paper free statements I would think the only time you need a physical address is for card renewal

your wise account is viewed as a bank account as that is what it is you can deposit funds ,earn interest ,hold cards or payment apps etc. it’s just an option Walter but an address or P.O. Box in Belgium should negate the loss of the card you hold in any event

It was much simpler and cheaper when I brought my own wife over 17 years ago but took 6 months of constant hounding immigration and appeals after the first refusal but had no issues since and i did that one myself

you wont have any problems Jim apart from the wait at the border for your entry visa to Lao can take a little while Up to two hours depending on the time of day and how many people are there relax and enjoy it fine to go Lao for a few days albeit a bit boring lol
