Glen Murphy not so a dna test is required to prove paternity regardless of the birth being registered once proven the rest is straight forward just sorted this for a pal of mine his boy now lives in the uk with him and holds a British passport mother raised no objections once she knew he was going to the uk
forget the house pal it’s gone if she wants to she can knock it down no point chasing something that’s lost you will just mess your own head up it is what it is
Sometimes on of the two heads we have makes poor decisions but hey tomorrow is a new adventure
it was important enough in your life at the time to marry and make a son who will probably be living with his grandparents abandoned by you both I am not being critical just factual if you where married in bkk the there will be a record in bkk just try to keep it civilised if only for the boys sake as after all you are his opportunity to have a British passport and a possible way out of Thailand when he is older tell your wife’s family you are prepared to help him attain this and they will be far more cooperative with you
Open a bank account with HSBC’ in your country then transfer your account to their branch in Thailand if your still in your own country it’s much simpler to apply for the non0 there they will give you all the requirements and then extend your self at the local immigration office where your staying in Thailand straight forward if you follow the procedure they set out for you just go once your in Thailand and tell them what you want to do and they will pretty much walk you through the process
If she returns to Thailand for a couple of months she can reapply with i higher chance of success if she had come on a fiancé visa you could have extended thru marrying her but not on a tourist visa
Just go to your local immigration office it’s so straightforward usually in and out in 20 min proof of hotel/residence and passport it’s 1800 baht or 1900 and they fill in the paperwork for you why even consider a border bounce that will probably end up costing you twice that and zero guarantee of re-entry if the IO decides your trying it on
was very simple and straight forward had to queue for about ten minutes I used my debit card I think the ten minutes was just to check I had the available funds to be honest I withdrew several other amounts over a five month period in excess of 100,000 baht to pay for various operations I needed and a large plot of farmland to develop into a fish farm
I used a personal account I had previously put the funds into before I left the uk found the whole process simple and the bank manager very helpful especially after he had checked availability of funds
I had no thai bank account just me, my debit card and passport just entered my pin and left with the cash on each occasion with minimal fuss hope this helps with your inquiry. Bob
