Unless you have a Thai national to help you open an account.

I came in on visa exempt last year then applied for 90 day visa, then got my non O.

They want insurance from Australia with the non O application.

Thats was my experience.

I came in on a 1 way ticket.

You need your bank book updated and a letter from the bank. Check everything before you leave the bank.

I am doing similar with a one way ticket from Australia to Bangkok via Singapore with SCOOT Airlines. I spoke to a Scoot agent and she said that they take their ruling from the Immigration Consulate of Thailand. So it seems that it is dependent on the countries immigration policy NOT the airlines. Please correct me if you know otherwise.
