I have had my flight cancelled by Scoot and put one a flight that will put me in overstay on my visa free entry permit by 2 days. Will I have to go to immigration to apply for 30 day visa or can it be done online or is it easier to just pay overstay fine for two days? Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about overstaying a visa-free entry permit due to a flight cancellation. The consensus from comments suggests that it's better to apply for a visa extension at immigration for 1900 Baht to avoid incurring an overstay fine of 1000 Baht, which could also result in a negative mark on the passport.

Thank you! 😊

You just go to immigration and get yourself an extension for 1900B.

Overstay for two days would be 1000B and a pretty bad stamp in your passport that could lead to problems in the future. That is if you're not caught during those two days and put in detention.

For a merely 900B difference just avoid problems and get yourself an extension.

always better to avoid overstay. an extension would cost you 1900 and ensure no nasty stamp in your passport
