Nope😂 Simply not lol…you’ve already shown lack of understanding of every law you are using here…you’re incompetent and have no say. Obviously, you can trust whatever you want, nothing wrong with that 😂
Graham HeyesYou’re right that it applies to tax residents, not just citizens, but my point is the same…CRS is about preventing tax evasion by people hiding wealth in foreign accounts. That means, governments of own citizens checking whether they are avoiding taxes okay? Like UNPAID taxes completely.
Your idea that CRS will help Thailand track and tax foreigners income not brought into the country, is incorrect.
even with a law change in Thailand, they still wouldn’t be able to access your full tax data unless you bring the income into Thailand or report it yourself. No country is going to just hand over tax returns or personal financial details. Impossible to enforce anything like it because the laws mentioned are simply not for that purpose, do you get it?
I’ve said it all and I won’t be repeating…feel free to come back to me once first expats get chased to their home country and asked to pay…until then, have a good one
You should stop googling to match your bias and start thinking dude😂
CRS doesn’t create some magical global tax database portal where every country can see all your financial details. CRS is specifically about financial accounts held in other countries, and it’s mainly used to prevent tax evasion by people CITIZENS not reporting foreign income. That means THAI people in Thailand, or Germans in Germany, you get it? It is not a tool that will
facilitate foreign country to chase its visitors income from their home country😂
Thailand can’t and won’t start taxing people on foreign income unless it’s being brought into the country.
You are really just projecting some wishes using laws that you are not really familiar with.
Nope, no country can look into foreigners tax information, sorry to disappoint you. Technically they can, but not for a purpose of taxing hordes of people on their legal income, but for a purpose of suspicion about highly illegal activities, money laundering and basically international crime.
They can surely ask for something me personally and I can give them whatever I want .
So, sorry to disappoint you in your hunt against farangs residing in the country 😂
First of all, half a year+ in a country = tax residency….that is dozens years old law, active in literally every country around the world, including Thailand. Now, enlighten me why anyone with a foreign income would be moving that income to a thai bank, what would be the purpose exactly?
