No doubt you’ve been here to make the move here. Daunting at first but with time you’ll get accustomed to retirement. Buy a yearly journal. And write a to do list of when deadlines come up (visa extensions, drivers licenses, wifi plan, etc etc. ) i personally would get an visa agent to help your first extension. Kasikorn bank will be your friend for funds. Here in Thailand try to limit your American/farang friends…some how they bring their gripes with them from abroad.

might be ridiculous….but a mate FORGOT to get buy a re-entry at the airport so he had to start the whole retirement process all over again. Life happen …emergency trips too. 3800b. Multi. Peace of mind

Be mindful that as Americans…the US consulate in Bkk will not give you a certification letter of monthly income Each need 800.000 thb in a Thai Bank to get the retirement non-o extensions. You can use your money but needs full seasonal a few months prior to each visa extension (once a year). Or get an agent to help on the first go around

If you send via Wise ….tag it Funds for long term stay as reason for transfer so the bank shows it’s an international transaction. If you send it to your wise account. …Then send to your bank you loose the option to do said tag
