Question. I’m moving from the States in the next 12-24 months. Want to use up some Medicare, sell house, bye to kids and friends. I meet all the requirements for a retirement Visa easily. How soon before I plan to leave do I start the process. What is the turn around and cost? I don’t want to get with any snafu. If I start early, can I arrive after the approval. I’m just trying to get my timing right? Thanks.

thanks for sharing. I too suffer from several major ailments and worry about moving next year. Do you self insure or have a policy? If so, as ashamed an apologetic as I can be, I’m American. Pre-existing conditions are protected here. I’m guessing it may make insurance hard. Same for medications. I take 9 prescriptions, a few that may not be legal or available in Thailand. How do you navigate all this if you’d be so kind as to share. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you very much and as I said before, my apologies on being an American. At least I live in California!
