Living long term in Thailand is much more different than staying a few weeks in vacation. Firstly, I suggest to come in Thailand with a tourist visa, and stay at least 10-15 days in a house or a condo in different cities/province to explore the areas and having everyday life habits (going in markets/supermarkets, get use to local transport, locate different neighborhood and schools, etc..). I traveled twice in Thailand before staying 3 months and there is so many thing that you discover when you stay longer et live like a local, some are well surprising, others are exaspiring 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, that's because you're supposed to show a QR code when you enter Samui (Thailand Pass, Samui Health Pass or Mor Prom for Thais). I entered Thailand last October with the Phuket sandbox, I had none of these QR codes. I told them that and they let me go without asking to see my sandbox release paper nor my COE 🤷🏻‍♀️

Apparently, some thai embassies said that if you test positive in Thailand, you could escape the quarantine with a recovery letter. BUT most airlines won’t let you board with a positive test. So no matter Thailand accept this letter or not if you can’t come anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

yes, I agree ! Most of other province ask a test within 72 hours. Maybe this rule will change soon because Omicron is spreading fast in Phuket, so keep checking the Phuket center page.

Since Nov 16th, you can enter with a negative test (ATK or PCR) within 7 days.

Here for a 3 months holiday (planned before covid and originally schedualed in Oct 2020 around SE-Asia). Finally we only visit Thailand, and it definitly worth all the papers (which are not so difficult after all).

No much different than test and go actually, except that you have to stay 7 nights in SHA+ hotel instead of 1 night and do a 2nd PCR test in Thailand at day 6.
