In my experience:

I done applying my dtv Visa in Penang , when i landed by air to Don Muang airport , the Officer they hold you for a questioning and thats include the financial things..

I have to get another 180days i need to go out in the country so what i did is i drove neariest crossing border Which is Cambodia is the closes in pattaya .. i go by myself with no agency..

in there everything goes smooth less than 10min i am done , then comeback in pattaya the same day
