I thought you automatically get 30 days if your country participates in visa waivers for tourist and if you want to stay 60 days you have to pay for an extension? That's what I did in April.
here English is OK but needs improvement but she has already made a couple of Thai friends here. We will be living on the Atlanta Georgia area. Many Asians there. She also has relatives in the US so I think she will be fine. We even went to a temple in the Washington DC area and the Monk knew her father from Ubon. Small world.
I just found the answer to my question om the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website in the visa question and answers page. I can re-enter Thailand on a Tourist visa not to exceed 90 days in a 6 month period. When I visit in December it will be a new 6 month period. Problem solved.
