I'm using Truemoney (advanced account) too but there are also some disadvantages..

- For a transfer to a Thai bank account there's a 20 baht fee all the time

- Scanning QR codes (non business) is limited to 30 free scans a month, after that 25 baht fee per scan

- Maximum balance is 50K

Can I use a Revolut account to prove funds for my visa application in Thailand?

Yes, I used it twice for a METV, no problem at all

Why are Bangkok Bank accounts being frozen for DTV visa holders, and what are the alternatives?

Yep, they froze and closed my account too. It was opened on a METV but I have DTV now. They didn't care. 'We don't accept your visa'. Stay far away from this miserable bank!
