Since I’m living in Bulgaria I am connected to the Thai embassy of Bucharest 

I have just asked them regarding:

Discover Thai nature



It would be nice to know if these courses qualify me in section 5b for the DTV visa.

I have already filed documents from 1 to 4

It is only number 5 that provide me with challenges

I first tried to apply with freelancer status.

Long story short.

I have difficulties (maybe language barrier ) to get the documents needed from Bulgarian authorities that The Thai embassy in Bucharest they ask for

For this reason and also because I actually find the course interesting I told them that I am willing to apply again and pay 10,000 bath

But first I would like to know if this actually qualify me under 5 b Thai soft power

Unfortunately it is my experience that there is big difference from Embassy to Embassy on the DTV Requirements

On a phone call I ask her what kind of cooking class school she can recommend me in Phuket that will grant me access with the Thai soft power 

Her answer back where :

Are you a cook

In which I have cost applied no

I guess it’s up to the opinion off the employee off each embassy

How they interpreted the soft power 5b option 





 I hope Malaysia is on the list otherwise I have to travel to Laos if they are on the list

Sometimes I like it when I have somebody I can talk to while filling out the papers



Would you recommend me to book a time to Thai embassy in Laos 

Is there any agency business you recommend in Phuket where I can get some assistants to obtain a DTV

I think I have to be outside king of Thailand to apply to DTV

By if it is all online

So I can actually go to Thailand on a tourist Visa first and find a rental property and register to attend a Thai cooking class ( Bring proof of attending ) 

Number 5 is the only one giving me some Challenges.

Take a boad trip to George Town Malaysia

Apply once again to the Thai embassy in George Town and that means new eyes new interpretation off number 5 b :

Thai soft power:  Proof of confirmation to attend the activity

Activities such as



- Thai Cooking classes

Or

- Muay Thai courses

Do I understand this correct ?

This winter I will try living in Phuket on tourist visa

60 days and then ask for extension 30 day before expiration either go back to Bulgarien or visit Georgetown in Malaysia stay a week and go to Thai Embassy and apply for a visa ( don’t know how long visa I will get on Danish passport ) 

Do you have any idea?

If I like to live in Thailand I will apply for retirement visa But I want to check out some other countries before
