Thanks, I’ve just contacted the agent and look forward to hearing what they say.

Thanks. I’m doing exactly what you suggested—learning from here and asking to good people who might have insight. Do you happen to know any reliable border bounce agencies or agents who can assist with Thai visa runs or fast-track arrival services?

who really knows how it works? From what I can see, policies shift frequently, and in practice, border control can be relaxed or tightened depending on changing government priorities. A solution that works at one time may not work at another—it all seems contingent and unpredictable. And the truth is, we’re all growing every day, learning from our mistakes. No one is perfect, and no one has all the answers.

Haha, I get that a lot. I’m not too fixed on national identity — just looking for places that align with my values and way of life. Thailand feels like a good fit. What kind of lifestyle are you planning to have in Thailand? I am planning to stay in Chiangmai at this stage.

I was half-joking, but honestly, I do think Thailand selectively targets travelers from certain countries at times

I see, thanks. My preference would be to apply for a single-entry tourist visa, return to Thailand for about 40 days, and then apply for the DTV. But as you mentioned, that seems riskier than going directly for the DTV.
