For me, Bangkok Bank said 3 official documents from Thailand and I used translated passport, marriage cert, and BFA cert from marriage but I got the impression that I could have used any of a lot of other things. Bottom line was no problem all still on the tourist visa.
Mine saved me an expense that would've been significantly more and quite possibly wouldn't have resulted in getting the visa anyway. Theoretically, non-o by virtue of marriage must be solicited from a thai embassy outside of thailand if I understand it correctly. I was here on a tourist visa and didn't have any particular desire to visit Vientiane (or wherever) so it was a cost/benefit analysis against air travel, hotel, another visa for Laos, etc., and the payoff won.
I'm in Chiang Rai Province so it may differ from your situation but thay asked me for 3 official documents and weren't too specific on what. I had my passport ID page copied, stamped by my embassy, and translated to thai. Had my TM30. Had the marriage certificate. Also had a letter from Thai Bureau of Foreign Affairs that was required for marriage. This was Bangkok Bank.
