tbh I was there in May and it felt a lot cheaper for accommodation, food, drink around the Hanoi Old Quarter.

interesting. Lots of travellers in one of my travel communities insist Vietnamese cheaper. And as in this video report, a travel agent for 20 years say’s that’s what her clients are telling her.

You’re a tourist. You’re not entitled to a bank account.

Could you do this in other countries? Thailand isn’t a free for all

it’s temporarily basing here. You only legitimately live somewhere if you’re legal to live, on the correct permit and visa etc.

I would say has to be over a year before you can you live there.

Essentially, all DTV holders are supposed to be remote workers who often like to travel and more around. Clearly some DTV holders are using the visa for other purposes it wasn’t intended for

The DTV is a glorified tourist visa. They don’t want people living here on it. It’s only going to get more tight I think
