I think it is easier to get a Non -0-Immigrant Visa 90 day based on ( Retirement ) . Arrive in Thailand and get a Thai Bank Account , After 60 days , transfer 800,000 THB apply for 1 One Year Extension . Years later you can always change to a marriage Visa
