Erawan waterfalls is a definite, visit the cemetery and museum's, Hellfire pass and there are a few restaurants on the river next to the bridge worth checking out.

 agree with this, i have stayed there, good location, short walk everywhere. decent rooms. Good coffee over the road as well.
