thanks for the up date! Did she mention which krungsri location ? 🤔 it would be Helpful info for some guys. Also I know a tax lawyer was a master's degree in international tax law He assures me it costs a couple hundred dollars For a bank to open an account for an American. 😞 This is why this new policy does not surprise me period and moving forward, I would be surprised if.

No apology needed, and there is a very slim possibility that a couple of banks still do it, but it's not gonna happen going forward. These banks are dropping like Domino's.obtw this is a new reality unfolding in real time

u tried the 5 recommended banks mentioned, I didn't go willy nilly :) Bangkok Bank in Niemann just stopped 2 months ago ,BKB on Changhuak an old standby for tourist visa accts no longer does it, tried all locations in all the malls even tried bigc extra those are the 6 most popular locations that were famous for accounts on tourists visa also tried SCB and several other bank brands.i lived here 100% for 7 years tried to help my daughter. We will put here on a study visa next time she reenters.problem solved. Most folks don't realize how much it costs a bank to keep a bank account open, especially for an American or extra charges. That the American government puts on Thailand banks for American citizens 🙄

obtw A residency Certificate only costs 200 Th.B. At immigration. And to get a bank account you are. Required to have a residency Certificate. But they will not open an account anymore for a short-term 30 day.

Tourist Visa You need a work permit or long stay Visa. This is a new policy just happened this year.

did you get an account with a tourist visa in the last month??? We checked 5 Bangkok Banks all said their lawyers said " no to tourist visa" all said it is a NEW policy

I use agoda app prices are actually cheaper on that app and I've used it for buying six Thai air asia flights in the last 4 months no problems and the Agoda app remembers my passport details

No need to apply for an OA non immigrant Visa. Apply for the non o Visa . No health insurance requirements.
