The last time I changed my passport number at KBank it took maybe 15 min. This was at KBank in Jomtien. A new visa debit card took 20 min tops. Same bank. 20 min at Bangkok Bank to change the passport number. The longest time at a customer service desk was 40 min at Bangkok Bank in Jomtien when I renewed my Fixed Deposit Account, which is basically opening a new account from scratch. This is not a cause for a heart attack. When you go to your branch you can plan ahead and be there maybe 15min before they open. If you are no 15,then yes, it will take time.
Where does it take 4 hours to change anything connected to your bank account? Stop posting nonsense. Maybe you don't understand how and why you need to do it.
The requirements when opening a bank account haven't actually changed that much It's just about the correct visa and proof of residence via for example the certificate of residence from immigration. There are always minor differences in requirements between banks. When I renewed my Fixed Deposit Account at Bangkok Bank in March, customer service at my branch asked if I had an ID-card. Yes,a digital one, I answered and lo and behold, she said, yes that works. I opened the ID-app and showed her how I logged in via fingerprint and she took a photo of the ID. Done. Sometimes you get surprised in a positive way. I wonder what they will come up with next time I go there. 😎
Yes,it normally does unless bad karma hits you. My transfers have always shown up as international at Bangkok Bank. Shit will eventually happen but there are ways to fix that if needed. No biggie.
