She is receiving an online teaching assignment and a PhD supervisor role from a university in malaysia that only operates online programs. So they have the flexibility of having their instructors located in any part of the world.

hmm.. thats the confusion we were facing. She can provide pay slips of her current job which she will still have while applying for the DTV visa in Nov 2025. But the job letter that she will show is of a future role, the letter may say " appointed adjunct faculty as of Oct 2025". Its a little weird situation and we are thinking of perhaps speaking to one of the agents. They may have lot of experience dealing with variety of applications.

But since its an adjunct role, her services may not be required immediately. And she can make herself available for the teaching assignments as she wishes. If she wishes to not teach until 2027, they wouldn't mind. She would still be employed under the company, but not earning anything until she starts delivering lectures

Thank you all for your replies, She will get an employment letter from Malaysian university stating that she will remotely work(online lectures) to offer her teaching services to the Malaysian university. Regarding her canadian job, once she quits, it will be done with. She won't have any relations with them afterwards.

Are we able to speak to somebody from the embassy to give more clarity if we have doubts?
