You can also do it on your flight if you have wifi. Do it in Japan while on your layover with airport wifi.

Or do it when you land at Bangkok before you get to immigration.

I would do it before I leave home.

You have to do the TDAC absolutely every time you enter Thailand. It does not matter if you have a visa of any type, you still have to do the TDAC.

Even if you leave Thailand for a few hours, you to do it before re entry.
