In person? Travel from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh?

I have posted separately in this chat earlier today, but my issue is that my TR visa (applied from UK), is valid until mid April. I actually just briefly got through on the phone, they didn't help much at all, but they said I can't have two visas, so I have to wait until this TR visa expires and re-apply (meaning come back to Vietnam mid April). They said I could try and cancel my visa by contacting the UK Thai embassy, but they don't know if I can do this, or if my DTV will approved. I also said how will I re-enter Thailand if I cancel my tourist and my DTV gets denied and they didn't have an answer either.
