The german consulate confirmed that it is supposed to be 3 months. And fixed account, not random access. opposite to what they hand out on their papers.
Short update: The bank made a new account changed to 6 month fixed deposit. Immigration did not accept, because the account is less than 2 months old. (only 2 days for now) They gave 2 month extension and advised to let the consulate certify
It's definitely 400k in the bank, but it has to be on a seperate account that cannot be randomly accessed. the officer told him the bank will know what they have to do, so he will visit his this weekend and we hope they really know what they are supposed to do.
AFAIK cardless atm transactions only work with local thai accounts and their apps. Whatever card you bring from overseas can be eaten by then ATM. happened to me too at BKK airport, but a woman from kbank came and opened the ATM after 10 minutes. Another option would be bitcoin/crypto and sell them for thai cash locally. No limit in cross border transfer.
I guess I used them too, before covid. North side of the moat, right? They did tm30 and residence certificate in a few days for me. The license I did alone, took 2 days.
