Nowadays Kasikorn demands a certificate of residence from immigration .

You have to ask Kasikorn for the document of the international transfer every month and that is for free. They can go back for 3 months only. If you wait for 1 year then you will have to pay 6000 bht. Please get the information at the bank yourself .😉

when I traveled to Thailand in the early 80s and wanted to stay more then 2 weeks I had to go to the Thai Embassy to get a visa. Same for the Philippines and most other countries.

I once did mine on a short trip to Hua Hin at the main police office without any problem. The fee was 300 Bht.

I lived in Pattaya that time . 😊

I have been doing visa extensions for 15 years now and use the proof of income ( affidavit from my embassy ) and no IO ever asked for my bankbook .😁
