is it legitimately more likely to get back in if I get a tourist visa in Laos? Happy to, but as far as I've understood it, one can still be denied trying to re-enter whether on a tourist visa or border run.

I just received the 2nd 45 days of my most recent COVID extension on August 10th; if I go to immigration on 23 or 24 August to apply for the next one, are they likely to say I'm there too soon after receiving the last one?
