All the new Thai visas such as DTV, Elite visas, etc were offered for one purpose only: Energize the housing market ! Just to go to Pattaya and see all the new residential luxury buildings near the beach with no renters! Same in Phuket, Chiang Mae and more so in BKK. Thailand economy is about to crash with all the money buried in the housing market and not moving. That’s why it is a buyers market. Need to insist on streamlining the immigration process such as eliminating the 90 days reporting!

Thailand is a socialist country. You can’t just replace people jobs with automation without politicians losing elections. The immigration officers will still linger there.

In Usa, employees don’t sign contracts. We are not soccer players. Sorry, football players. We are hired at will. Can leave at will. Can be fired at will.

No. Reread Fred post. All the information is already included in the Biometric passport. Why ask for more? Is it to keep bad hombres outside? It takes 24 hours minimum to get to Thailand from US air. They already know we are coming. They can be prepared. Reminds me of the white forms we used to fill on arrival: All info was already available to thai immigration
