How can I successfully apply for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) through the Thai embassy in London?

I am hoping a remote worker on here has managed to get their DTV through the online application into the London embassy.. I have approval to work a cycle of 3 months Thailand and then 1 month in London, but 2 questions/requests:

1: I have just deposited significantly more than the 500k baht in both a U.K. bank and WISE, how long did London need to see the balance?

2: Would you be willing to share privately or at least give a summary of the employment letter details that was successfully accepted as proof of remote employment? My company will not update my contract but will provide a side letter and word it as I need..

I will work in Thailand from end of September until early November so can delay applying for DTV until November if I need to show balance for 2 months and go on the usual 60 day visa this time..

Many thanks…

Just got my DTV from London.

- I provided a PDF of my most recent bank statement, this only listed the last months transactions.

- I included my employment contract - it does list the I can remotely. I'm sure a letter confirming you can work remotely would be fine.

- They were very quick, I got it in about 36hrs.

You don’t need to show any length of time for the money, just that you have it in your account.

The letter needs to be letter headed by your company and signed by them saying you are a remote worker and addressed to the Thai embassy in London, also they are likely to want to see your contract. They will want to confirm you have an address in the uk, I used my driving licence for this and was successful

Good luck

In Usa, employees don’t sign contracts. We are not soccer players. Sorry, football players. We are hired at will. Can leave at will. Can be fired at will.

It needs to be a closing bank statement, in pdf form.

I got a certificate from companies house to show I have a legit company.

I showed a page from companies house detailing I can work remotely for my business.

Made a cover note with wet signatures from the directors.

Proof of address originating country (i showed my council tax bill)

Proof of entry point into Thailand ( I showed my flight ticket).

Photo

Copy of passport

Everything needs to be a PDF unless stated otherwise. If you can only upload one file at a time, then put everything on one PDF. For example, If you need to upload multiple documents for your business, put them all in one PDF and upload that.

fair enough. So I only submitted the final page if my statement showing my balance. That was all that was needed.

My letter from company was addressed to royal thai embassy, London. It stayed that I was in fulltime employment and supported my the company to work remotely.

Had my visa in less than a week
